About me

 Brit Solie

The name Solie is very important to me.  Not only is it my maiden name but also my daughters name Solie Susie.  The Solie family is a very well know name in the Everett area.  My grandfather owned the Solie funeral home in Everett, while my grandma, dad, and both my aunts lived on grounds at the cemetery.  My grandma, Susie Rucker painted Norwegian paintings on caskets.  My grandmother was the greatest person I’ve ever met. She was caring, giving, and selfless, with the biggest heart of anyone and what I strive to live by.  She was possibly the most creative person I have ever met and the place my creative niche stems from.

I’m not only a Solie, but I am also a Rucker.  My Grandma Susie remarried to my Grandpa Bill Rucker.  Many of you who know Everett will know Rucker tomb and Rucker Avenue.  My Grandpa Bill is so generous. Anyone who has met him knows he is amusing, outgoing, and spontaneous, all in all just a blast to be around.

My dad, Hans Solie, went on to be a fire lieutenant in Yakima WA, and my aunt Kathy Attwood became the chief of police for Everett. Much of my family is in law enforcement which led to meeting my wonderful husband Arthur who is a K9 officer for Snohomish County.

I have been so blessed to have 2 amazing families that have laid the foundation for not only my business, but my life.  I strive to spread the love & selflessness both my Grandma and Grandpa have shown me.

My Story

I currently live in Arlington, Washington with my wonderful husband Arthur, daughter Solie Susie & son Hayden.  I’ve always been creative so photography seemed to come naturally to me. My many years of retail management at Nordstrom & Jcrew made managing my own business come easily.

My passion for photography started with my first photography class in high school where I felt at home. I love that photography gives me the opportunity to document a unique relationship through still images. I feel so blessed that I get to do something I love while creating images that will be cherished for years to come. My customers appreciate that I’m easygoing, exciting, and I really try to go above and beyond for my clients. Not many people get to do what they truly love as a career. I feel so lucky to call myself a Photographer and to try to make the experience for you be just as special as my is it for me.

I am currently doing Wedding Photography all over the Pacific North West. I have also had the pleasure of doing shoots all over the world, and hope to do more as soon as possible. I would love to here from you, and get to be apart of your special event.
